Paediatric and neonatal cushions
Kids Care is Levabo’s range of pressure-relieving paediatric and neonatal products.
Developed in collaboration with leading Danish wound nurses, the range ensures optimal comfort and hygiene in the treatment and prevention of pressure ulcers.
There are no Danish figures on the extent of pressure ulcers in children, but international studies indicate that up to 75% of hospitalised children have pressure ulcers*.
The vast majority of pressure injuries in children are related to the use of medical devices that are fixed to children as part of treatment or life support. These include peripheral venous catheters, ventilation equipment and plaster casts. But also bearing-related pressure injuries on the head, heels and ears occur frequently.
Bearing injuries typically occur in relation to surgical procedures or prolonged immobilisation combined with a medical condition that increases the risk of developing pressure injuries. This could be compromised circulation or high fever.
Kids Care is inflatable and covered with nonwoven felt, which is a skin-friendly material that is moisture-absorbent, heat-transporting and soft and comfortable.

Kids Care products are not inflated on delivery and therefore take up very little space. This makes it easy to keep in storage and bring them to the user.

Kids Care products are inflated using the supplied inflation tube or one of Levabo’s other pumps. An adapter is also included to adjust the air pressure.
